The best part of any residential school is the atmosphere it provides its students. No matter what the economic, social and geographic background one belongs to, every individual is treated equally.

  • Teacher-Student Bond: Teachers, too, are actively involved in campus life. Apart from teaching, teachers participate in sports, music, and theatre and so on wherever their interests may lie. They share meals with the students and even reside on campus.
  • Leadership Skills: Residential schools provide students the opportunity to experience leadership and responsibility first-hand on a scale that no day school can hope to match. Also, the all-round education provided is much better than the academics-oriented approach of day schools. Moreover, the independent way of life and the egalitarian education induce humility and the knowledge of self in the student both essential traits for life.
  • Counsellors on Campus:In residential schools where the children are away from the parents, they do need mentors to share their problems or personal issues. Some experts feel that while residential schools are spending on physical infrastructure, they should also focus on the emotional infrastructure.According to them, residential schools should have a full-time counsellor. All students must have mentors who understand them.Teachers at residential schools must be trained to identify signs of danger since there is a possibility of isolation.
