The state education board has declared that it will change the marking system for board exams from academic session 2015-16. Students will have to score a minimum marks of 16 out of 80 in theory and an aggregate of 35% to pass in the examination. Those who fulfil both the criteria will be declared as “Pass”.  The proposal was accepted last year in October by the state government but will be implemented for examinations held during February-March 2016.
