Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) instructed school to follow only National Council Educational Research and Training (NCERT) books in order to reduce school bags load. The board in its circular mentioned that schools re exerting pressure on parents and children to buy books other than NCERT for reference purposes and also they would be taught in classes. Taking such a huge number of books to schools increases school bag loads; and thus CBSE has strictly instructed schools to follow nothing except NCERT.
