Anusha Lilaha, aged 18, has grown up with medical conditions that has ravaged her body. She cannot bend her fingers and holding a pen between her thumb and forefinger is a challenge in itself. The joints in her frail body is so stiff that she needs callipers to walk and assistance to climb a couple of steps. In the month of November she topped the A-levels (equivalent to XII) Cambridge International Examinations with 95%, taking a step closer to her dreams of going to UK to study at the Cambridge University. A certificate from the Cambridge International Examinations mentioning Anusha’s national rank will be given to her during a formal presentation by the Cambridge School at Uttam Mancha.

Anusha is currently studying computer applications at Birla Institute of Technology, Kasba campus. She had a bone marrow transplant at the age of two for thalassaemia major and contracted the major graft-versus-host disease (GVT), a condition in which donor cells start attacking the host body. Despite of such major issues, Anusha is full of confidence and mental strength.
