Due to heavy rain in Chennai, E Sundaravalli had announced one day leave (November 16) for all schools and colleges in the district. Colleges affiliated to Anna University, University of Madras and Dr. Ambedkar Law University had postponed their exams due to heavy rainfall. Anitha, the Chief Educational Officer of Chennai told City Express that classes which were cancelled during last week and are going to be cancelled in the forthcoming week would be compensated after the schools reopen based on the School Education Director, S Kanappan’s advice. Children’s safety was the first priority so that they do not have to suffer after the school reopens. Exams scheduled between 16th and 18th November are postponed for university departments and all affiliated colleges to Anna University.
