In UG Rush – Boards yet to start, Many Have Already Started Admission Process

Twelfth graders are yet to write their final exams, but its admission time already at many universities. Private universities such as Ashoka University, Sonipat and Christ University, Bengaluru, which don’t admit just on the basis of marks, have already started accepting applications. Several public universities in Delhi, including Jawaharlal Nehru University, Jamia Millia Islamia and Ambedkar University, Delhi, too, started the process before the Class XII results are out.
Ashoka University started first of its four-round admission process, which will end on January 11, early in October. The process involves submitting statements and, later, on-the-spot essay writing and interview. The fourth and the last round will end in June.
Christ University in Bengaluru has started the admission process in December for most undergraduate programmes.The initial steps of the process are online and while Class XII marks are important, they aren’t the only factor in admissions.
Amity University, Noida, will advertise in February. A common written exam will be held in March, and an interview or group discussion for management-type courses immediately will follow it. Successful candidates are issued a provisional admission letter. Admission is finalised once the results are out as the offers are conditional.
