City schools’ winter break till Jan 15

The Delhi Government has decided to extend winter break of private schools till 15^thJanuary 2016. The Government school calendar issued at the start of the academic year had winter vacation scheduled for this period for junior and senior classes. Private schools that do not have to follow Directorate of Education’s calendar, typically opens on 30^th December and reopens on 7^th or 8^th January. But for the last three years, schools have been reopening on 11^th or 12^th January due to cold.
