Several schools are trimming vacations or extending daily working hours to compensate for the lost time in the coming week, but a few institutions resumed classes last week itself when the rain eased a bit. Schools like Sishya and American International School worked last week while schools like Indian Public School worked on Monday. KV Ashok Nagar has been conducting special classes for Class IX to XII over the last week. American International School Taramani was open throughout last week except for Monday. Water had been pumped out from the school premises and precautionary measures were taken. Plastic sheets had been placed so that the students do not slip and fall. Attendance was not 100% but most of the children turned up.
