The state’s best ever success rate in SSC examination gave several schools a chance to celebrate. A total of 968 city schools in Mumbai region recorded cent percent results which is definitely higher than the last year’s 801. Across the state, 4,731 out of 20,968 schools registered cent percent result. Principal of VN Sule School, Dadar said that over 700 students had appeared from their school and all had managed to pass. Last year the school registered a pass percentage of 98.88%. Other schools including VES School, Chembur and St. Stanislaus School, Bandra had been recording 100% success rate since years.
Ganesh Waghmare of New Era Night School, Chembur, scored a perfect 35/35 in all subjects in his SSC examination. Despite of being poverty stricken, Ganesh is stuck to his dreams and wishes to continue his education unless he gets a government job.
