Waste Picker’s kidsbeats all odds, conquers poverty and passes out with flying colours in Higher Secondary examinations. Their 10*10 tin shed houses, neighbours playing loud music are not fit to provide them a studious environment. Sonia Dholare of Aundh’s Indira Vasahat scored 63% and sets out to become a chartered accountant one day. Her mother despite being a waste picker and earning very little for her family has a big heart to support Sonia’s education.
Bhagyashree Jadhav used to borrow text books from her friends as she could not afford her own. Her father passed away and her mother earns very less by picking waste. The very little which she earns is spent on her daughter’s education.
